CITY MEMORIAL PROJECTS

The City has recently undertaken three memorial projects that will be located within the Teapot Dome Memorial Park area.

Zillah Veterans Memorial GoFund Donation

The James H. Schooley Post #130 of the American Legion in partnership with the City of Zillah and community members have joined together to construct a Veterans Memorial next to the Teapot Memorial Park in Zillah.  This memorial will be a permanent place to give thanks to local area veterans who have served this country with honor and distinction.

The City of Zillah has committed $152,000 plus the land towards the project and the remainder of the funding is needed through private donations, grants and in-kind trade labor.  Initial designs for the memorial feature a walking path with 21 concrete sentinels with brick holders mounted on the front, alongside a flag for each branch of the military.  The area will feature a centralized American Flag.
