2019 Baseball Registration Form


Our mission is to provide and promote community leisure as well as recreational and cultural activities for all citizens.  This is accomplished through joint efforts of staff and community volunteers who work together in organizing recreational programs and activities.  Through this combined effort, we strive to enhance personal well being and to improve the quality of life that makes Zillah a great place to live, work, and play.


To Register for the Spring Program 2019 Season

Night Sign up: TUESDAY, March 26th 5:30 p.m. - 6p.m. Zillah City Hall
(This year the sign up will be at Zillah City Hall not the Civic Center)  

You can register any time at Zillah City Hall, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Registration will be closed on FRIDAY April 12th no latecomers allowed. Also, if we do not have enough coaches prior to April 12th, the league will be cancelled.

April 10th Coaches Only Concussion Online Training Needs done:
Coaches complete the following training by April 10th at:   http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/Training/index.html print off the certificate of completion and submit it to the Parks and Recreation Director.  Meeting at Civic Center for Coach’s only at 6:00 p.m. on April 10th. Coaches will get equipment this night.

April 15th – 18th:  Team Practice 6pm-7pm Monday and Wednesday for Tots, Tee Ball & Coach Pitch.   (T-Ball will be played at Stewart Park / Coach pitch played at Cemetery Park across street from teapot)

April 22nd –  May 23rd: League games or practices. Games or practices will be on Mondays and Wednesday 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Age Requirements:

Tee Ball for Tots: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 3 and under. (This is for our youngest ball players. Parents are expected to assist as well as stay for full length of time. No games will be played in tots and only 1 team will be formed)

Tee Ball: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 4 & 5 years of age (Suggested ages). (Basic understanding of baseball, learning positions, learning to hit, throw, catch, run bases)

Coach/Pitch Baseball: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 6-8 years of age (Suggested ages). (Intermediate level of understanding baseball. Continuation of learning baseball basics such as player positions, throwing accuracy, catching, base running, and having a ball tossed to them rather than hitting from a Tee)


To Register for the Fall Program 2019 Season

August 28th – September 13th Registration:
You can register at Zillah City Hall Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, after hours you may place your payment and registration in the night drop box.

September 11th Coaches only Concussion Online Training Need done:
Coaches complete the following training by September 11th at:   http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/Training/index.html print off the certificate of completion and submit it to the Parks and Recreation Director.  Meeting at Civic Center for Coach’s only at 6:00 pm on September 11th Players assigned to coaches (coaches will contact players) and team list will be posted during the first day of practice.

September 16th – October 24th: Practices will be on weeknights designated by coaches.  Games will be played on Thursday nights.

Registration Note: 
Please complete the registration form(s) and bring to Registration.  Anyone wishing to register at other times may do so at Zillah City Hall.  Registration will be closed on September 13th  no latecomers allowed.

Age Requirements:

Soccer Ball for Tots: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 3 - 5.

Soccer Ball 1st thru 3rd Grade: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 5 – 8 years of age, 1st -3rd Grade.

Soccer Ball 4th – 6th Grade: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 9 – 12 years of age, 4th – 6th Grade.  We must have a minimum of 30 players for this age bracket or it will be cancelled.

Player Assignments:
The Parks & Recreation Department will assign players to teams.  Assignments will be made per random draw per age group. 

Volunteer Coach Selection:
Volunteer coaches will be selected during registration. 

This league will play on Saturday’s at multiple parks in Zillah This league will adhere to "fair play and good sportsmanship”.  Teams Shirts (provided by league), There will be no officials assigned to the games.  Scores/standings will not be kept.  Coaches are allowed on the field during play.

ALL players need to provide their own Shin guards. Shin guards are mandatory during practice and games. The shin guards should efficiently protect the player’s shins and fit securely in their soccer socks.
